President Kevin Liu Visits Xinyang Aviation Vocational College, Signs Strategic Partnership Agreement

On June 4, 2024, President Kevin Liu of New Western University (NWU) was invited to visit Xinyang Aviation Vocational College in Henan Province, China. During the meeting, Mr. Liu Pinsheng, Chairman of Xinyang Aviation Vocational College, delivered an enthusiastic welcome speech, introducing the college and expressing his desire for collaboration with NWU.



Xinyang Aviation Vocational College, located in the scenic Zhenlei Mountain area of Xinyang City, boasts a beautiful campus enriched with substantial educational resources. The college comprises 10 secondary schools, including the School of Flight Attendant, School of Aeronautical Engineering, School of Flight, School of Emergency Management, School of Artificial Intelligence, School of Business, School of Information Technology, School of Education, and School of Arts, offering 46 majors such as pilot technology, aircraft maintenance, unmanned aerial vehicle technology, and more. The college is well-equipped with advanced training facilities like simulated airports, Boeing 737-800 training aircraft, and R44 helicopters, providing students with comprehensive practical training opportunities.



With a robust faculty of 765 full-time teachers, including national management experts and specialists enjoying State Council allowances, Xinyang Aviation Vocational College has established strong partnerships with numerous enterprises and organizations to collaboratively nurture high-caliber aviation professionals. The college has also garnered significant achievements, including provincial and national awards in educational innovation and vocational skills competitions.



During the visit, President Kevin Liu and President Liu Weizhen of Xinyang Aviation Vocational College signed a strategic partnership agreement. The agreement outlines extensive cooperation between the two institutions in areas such as faculty development, specialized programs, and scientific research. This partnership aims to leverage the strengths of both institutions to foster innovation and advancement in aviation education.


The collaboration between Xinyang Aviation Vocational College and New Western University promises to provide students and faculty with expanded opportunities for growth and development, setting a new benchmark for educational exchange between China and the United States. We look forward to achieving remarkable success through this partnership.
