About the Role

NWU invites outstanding scholars and leaders to join our educational team as an Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor of Risk and Decision Management. This position is established for our newly created Risk and Decision Management program, aimed at nurturing future professionals in risk management and decision science. We are seeking educators with excellent educational backgrounds and expertise in relevant fields to help shape the future of the next generation of leaders.

Requirements

Doctoral Degree: Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field such as risk management, decision science, finance, or related disciplines.


Educational Experience: Possess teaching experience at the university or graduate level, including instruction for undergraduate and graduate courses.


Research Achievements: Demonstrate outstanding research achievements in risk management, decision science, or related areas, including the publication of high-quality academic papers.


Industry Experience: Relevant industry background or work experience in practical risk management and decision science will be advantageous.


Teaching Aptitude: Have excellent teaching and mentoring skills, inspiring students' academic interests and fostering their career development.


Team Collaboration: Exhibit strong teamwork and communication skills, collaborating effectively with a diverse educational team.


Responsibilities and Opportunities:

  • Teach and develop courses in Risk and Decision Management covering various areas, including risk assessment, data analysis, decision science, and strategic management.

  • Mentor graduate students and participate in advising work, nurturing the next generation of professionals in risk management and decision science.

  • Engage in academic research, publish high-impact academic papers, and actively contribute to the academic community.

  • Establish collaborative relationships with risk management and decision science professionals both within and outside the university, fostering industry connections and career development opportunities.
