About the Role
NWU is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to lead and oversee all compliance activities related to our DEAC accreditation application. This role will report directly to the Provost and work closely with various university departments to ensure that all policies, procedures, and documentation meet DEAC’s standards and requirements.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the DEAC accreditation application process, ensuring all submissions meet the necessary criteria.
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to ensure NWU’s policies and procedures align with DEAC standards.
Collaborate with faculty and administrative teams to provide guidance and consultation on DEAC compliance matters.
Collect, organize, and prepare documentation and reports required for accreditation.
Monitor and assess NWU’s operations and programs to ensure ongoing compliance with DEAC requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact with DEAC, responding to reviews and feedback to ensure a smooth accreditation process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, law, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
At least 5 years of experience in a compliance officer or similar role within higher education.
In-depth knowledge of DEAC accreditation processes and standards, with a proven track record of successfully managing accreditation applications.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate
